Barbara Thompson received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine in 1979 and her Juris Doctor from the Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu in 1989. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1989.
Ms. Thompson has spent most of her legal career handling all aspects of workers’ compensation matters, representing the interest of both applicants and employers. She also practiced Employment & Labor Law for major institutional clients in both State and Federal courts and Workers’ Compensation Appeals Boards.
Since joining Goldman Magdalin Straatsma, LLP in 2018, Ms. Thompson defends all aspects of workers’ compensation claims, including defense of Serious and Willful actions, 132a claims, coverage issues and subrogation. She expects to receive her LLM in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles in May 2018.
