GMK is pleased to announce and congratulate our partner Jo Anne Morales on her recent appointment as an Administrative Workers’ Compensation Law Judge at the Fresno WCAB effective September 1, 2023. Jo Anne joined GMK in our San Luis Obispo office in 2007 and later in the summer of 2008 opened our Fresno office. Recently she had been the Managing Partner of our Central California offices in Fresno and Sacramento. As a Certified Specialist she will bring her vast knowledge of workers’ compensation law to the WCAB and continue to provide expertise and service to the workers’ compensation community.

GMK is proud that several of our attorneys have received the training, knowledge and experience while employed by the firm to have been recruited and accepted by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board to become Workers’ Compensation Administrative Law Judges. In addition to Jo Anne these wonderful attorneys include Russ Shuben, Susie Burge, and Stephanie Spencer.

GMK is also very pleased to announce that effective September 1, 2023, our partner Jeremiah Heisler will become the Managing Partner for our Central California offices in Fresno and Sacramento. Jeremiah joined GMK following graduation from law school and completion of the bar exam in 2010 and became a GMK Partner in 2016. In addition to his status as a Certified Specialist and California Attorney Rising Star, Jeremiah has been instrumental in our implementation and utilization of technology to better serve our clients.
