Biography

Judge LeCover served as a Workers’ Compensation Judge for 34 years, beginning at the Santa Barbara WCAB in July  of 1986, transferring to the Grover Beach office in 1988, now San Luis Obispo, becoming Presiding Judge in 1993. Before beginning his judicial career, Judge LeCover was an attorney for the State Compensation Insurance Fund from 1978 to 1986 at the Ventura and San Luis Obispo offices.

Judge LeCover was the trial judge in the en banc Escobedo case (apportionment), en banc Wilson case (psychiatric injury), the appellate court Battan case (medical evidence) and well as many other cases.

Judge LeCover is a native of Montreal, Canada.  He graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in 1973 (cum laude) and from Loyola- Marymount School of Law with a J.D. in 1976 (cum laude).
